Anja Harteros will embody Puccini’s heroine for the first three performances of Tosca. It’s definitely an event: the German soprano is one of the greatest artists of her generation. Every time she makes an appearance– which are getting rare these past years – she mesmerizes the public. She had not come back at the Opera Bastille since 2003, the year she had sung Eva in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg. Before discovering her flamboyant performance of Tosca, the eye of the photographer Elisa Haberer captured her during a rehearsal with Marcelo Álvarez (Mario Cavaradossi).
