From Purcell to Arvo Pärt, Frank Bridge, Florence Price, Benjamin Britten and Vaughan Williams, this program performed by the musicians in residence at the Academy highlights the diversity of forms that composers use to experiment with the aesthetic possibilities of each string instrument.
