Marthe Choquet Violin

Biography

Artist in residence at the Academy since September 2025

Marthe Choquet began playing the violin at the age of seven. She trained at the Metz Regional Conservatoire (CRR), where she obtained a diploma with unanimous highest honours in 2019, before joining the advanced programme at the Toulouse Regional Conservatoire. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree at the Geneva University of Music and a Master’s degree at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln.

Marthe Choquet joined the Academy of the Paris National Opera in September 2025. She took part in the new productions of L’Isola disabitata conducted by François Lopez-Ferrer and La Finta giardiniera conducted by Chloé Dufresne. With the Orchestra of the Paris National Opera, she performed in The Marriage of Figaro conducted by Antonello Manacorda, Un ballo in maschera conducted by Speranza Scappucci, and La Traviata conducted by Marta Gardolińska.

A prize-winner in several competitions, she won First Prize at the France Music Competition and Third Prize at the International Music Competition in 2022. In 2023, she received the Encouragement Prize from the Fondation Marescotti. She performs at numerous festivals, including the Rencontres Musicales de Haute Provence, Festival de Bellerive, Puplinge Classique, and the Estivales de Brou.
