Soprano-in-residence at the Paris Opera Academy Adriana Gonzalez received First Prize at the 4th edition of the Otto Edelmann international singing competition in Vienna. Following the final, on the 21st August, the young opera singer also obtained the role of Pamina in Mozart's Magic Flute.
Indisposed, Yusif Eyvazov will be replaced by Marco Berti in the role of Radames on July 16, 2016.

The Opéra national de Paris Ballet School's Summer Course takes place for the fourth year running: 290 young dancers aged from 10 to 19, girls and boys of 31 different nationalities, prepare to join the Opera for two weeks of work with the School's teachers and a guest dancer from the Ballet, Simon Valastro. From July 11, 2016 onwards, 34 adult dance teachers and pianist/accompanists will also enjoy the opportunity to follow a professional training course.
At 2pm on July 1, 2016, France Musique will broadcast a concert by the Paris Opera Orchestra originally recorded on April 19 at the Philharmonie de Paris. Conducted by Philippe Jordan the programme features the dazzling Gurre-Lieder by Schönberg.
On June 30, 2016 at 8 pm, the second workshop of the season will be dedicated to Kurt Weill. As part of her residence at the Paris Opera Academy, stage director Mirabelle Ordinaire offers an artistic programme around the German composer and explores some of his most beautiful works with the help of the Academy’s singers, vocal coaches, choreographers and musicians.
