Synopsis
Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov is famous for his operas and his shimmering orchestrations. But throughout his life, he also wrote numerous melodies underlining his taste for popular melismas, illuminated manuscripts, and the East with its sensuous colours and alluring harmonies. The soloists of the Academy perform an anthology of his most beautiful melodies in which the composer displays a profusion of colours, images and landscapes.
