Gerta Alla Violin

Biography

Born in 1990 in Tirana in Albania, Gerta Alla began the violin at the age of seven at the Jordan Misja School of Music. Between 1999 and 2006, she won numerous competitions such as Kenget e Tokes, Teletet e rinj and Islam Petrela. Attracted by French culture, in 2010 she arrived in France where she studied with Frédéric Laroque and obtained her Diploma in Musical Studies (D.E.M.). She is passionate about orchestral playing and has performed with various formations including the CEI Youth Orchestra, Orchestre Ostinato, Les Cris de Paris and the Orchestre Pasdeloup. In 2015, she took part in the Colmar Festival with the Trio Alba, performing works by Mozart and Debussy, and again in July 2016 with her string quartet. During the 2015 / 2016 season, she continued her studies at the Paris Boulogne-Billancourt Pôle superior for artistic training with Frédéric Laroque. Since September 2016, she has been in residence at the Paris Opera Academy where she has taken part in Academy concerts and productions at the Bastille Amphitheatre and has swelled the ranks of the Paris Opera orchestra in both opera and ballet productions.
