Just a few days before the first performance of his new production at the Palais Garnier, choregrapher William Forsythe took part in a meeting with the Friends of the Opera on June 22, 2016. The event was organised at the Hôtel de Talleyrand, the historic property of the American Embassy.

After a few words of welcome from Rebecca Neff, Economic Advisor at the American Embassy, William Forsythe told the audience the story of his encounter with Rudolf Nureyev and raised various discussion points around his new work for the Paris Opera Ballet, Blake Works I.
