Le Rouge et le Noir, from sketches to costumes

For Le Rouge et le Noir, his latest ballet creation at the Paris Opera, Pierre Lacotte designed his own sumptuous costumes for the characters. Xavier Ronze, head of the couture department at the Palais Garnier, materialised the choreographer's desires, bringing his sketches to life. He looks back at the artistic choices that guided the work of the workshop and underlines the meaning of every detail.
