Choreographer, ballet master, former dancer with the Company and former pupil of the Ballet School, Pierre Lacotte returns to the Opera, his second home, to offer the Company a sumptuous creation inspired by Stendhal's novel, Le Rouge et le Noir. Using excerpts from the music of Jules Massenet, he translates into dance the story of Julien Sorel, a young man eager for social advancement, confronted with the power struggles of 19th century society. Pierre Lacotte, who also designed the sets and costumes for the ballet, looks back on this adventure in the setting of the Palais Garnier.
