The daughter of an organist, Marion Desbruères began her artistic training at an early age. She started piano and dance at the age of four, followed by violin, which she chose to pursue exclusively from the age of sixteen. She studied under Marie-Claude Cachot, Marie-Claude Theuveny, Suzanne Gessner, Jean-Jacques Kantorow, Ami Flammer, Frédéric Laroque, and Annick Roussin. Among her awards are first prize at the Nerini Competition, the Enfants du Monde Gold Trophy (unanimously with the jury’s congratulations), and first prize at the International Vysocina String Competition.
From 2004 to 2007, she was the violinist of the Quatuor A Tempo. In December 2007, she was unanimously admitted to the “Concertiste” advanced performance cycle at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon.
After stepping in for Tannhäuser under the direction of Seiji Ozawa, she joined the Orchestre de l’Opéra National de Paris in 2008. She continues her chamber music career with the Quatuor Monticelli. In 2022, she was appointed third soloist of the second violins in the Orchestre de l’Opéra National de Paris.
