Tickets and Prices
As an individual visitor, you can purchase your tickets online or by phone at 08 92 89 90 90 (€0.35 per minute from a landline, excluding any additional charges that may apply depending on your operator) or +33 1 71 25 24 23 from abroad, Monday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (excluding public holidays), up to 30 days before the date of your visit.
Admission to visit the Palais Garnier is free or discounted for certain categories of visitors.

Any special rate is subject to presentation of a valid supporting document and/or proof of identity.
Your ticket is valid for the date and time slot you selected. Entry must take place within 30 minutes of the time indicated on your ticket. No exchanges or refunds are possible.
Ticket sales are considered a leisure service. As such, they do not entitle the holder to a withdrawal period. Therefore, tickets are non-modifiable, non-exchangeable, and non-refundable. They are valid only for the selected date and time slot.
No. Entry (skip-the-line) is granted upon presentation of your BnF Library Pass.
Yes. A visitor ticket may be issued as a printed card ticket (when purchased on site), downloaded to your mobile phone, or printed on plain white A4 paper, blank on both sides, without altering the print size, in portrait (vertical) format, and must be perfectly legible.
As the internet connection inside the Palais Garnier can be unreliable, we recommend downloading your ticket before entering the building.
As an individual visitor, your ticket is available as a QR code in the confirmation email sent after your online payment.

Only visitors with disabilities (upon presentation of a supporting document) and their companions, pregnant women, and holders of a BnF Library Pass are granted priority entry.
No. Visit tickets cannot be resold or purchased through the Ticket Exchange.
However, since tickets are non-named, they can be transferred. For free or reduced-rate tickets, the new holder must meet the same eligibility requirements and present supporting documentation.
It is strongly advised not to buy tickets through any other resale or exchange platform, except official partners of the Opera: GetYourGuide, Tiqets, Headout, GoCity, Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau – Paris Je t’aime, Civitatis, Come to Paris, Mon Petit Paris, My Travel Mate.
Purchasing from any other source exposes you to the risk of fraud and may result in being denied entry to the theater.
The list of events covered by the cancellation insurance is set out in Article 5 of the General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
Covered events include, among others: serious accidents or illnesses, the death of a close relative, the birth of a child or grandchild, public transport strikes, and vehicle immobilization.
Please note that booking errors or reservation changes are not covered by the cancellation insurance.
Revelacio is the multimedia tablet of the Palais Garnier. It is intended for individual use and offers a guided visit experience, enhanced with audiovisual content and augmented reality.
Individual visitors can reserve it when purchasing their visit ticket, later on operadeparis.fr, or on site at the dedicated ticket desk (subject to availability).
Autonomous group
The following are considered groups:
- Visitors accompanied by an external tour guide (no minimum group size required)
- Groups of visitors without a tour guide consisting of 10 or more people
Advance booking is mandatory and must be made at least 21 days before the desired visit date.
Each group must purchase a single flat-rate ticket. It is strictly forbidden to supplement a group flat-rate ticket with individual tickets.
Requests for self-guided group visits are made via a form to be completed.
Private backstage visits are also available (no minimum number required).

Yes. A single ticket is issued for the entire group, indicating the total number of participants. Entry will be denied to any group member who arrives late.
An audiophone is a listening device intended for group members, guided by an external lecturer or a teacher wishing to provide commentary to their students during the visit.
Audiophones consist of a microphone and headphones. They are mandatory for groups of 7 or more people and for school groups from sixth grade onward, to maintain a comfortable sound level for other visitors.
Groups may use their own equipment.
The Opera also offers an audiophone loan service (included in the group rate), available by reservation and subject to stock availability.
To ensure a pleasant visit for all guests, team-building activities, birthdays, treasure hunts, and similar events are not permitted inside the Palais Garnier.
Drawing sessions are permitted in the public areas of the Palais Garnier, subject to prior authorization from the Audience and Visitor Services Department.
Requests must be sent by email to visitegarnier@operadeparis.fr no later than 15 days before the desired visit date and must include the educational program under which the drawing session is being conducted, signed by the head of the institution or organization.
Students must be divided into small groups so as not to obstruct the movement of other visitors.
Guided tours
The Paris National Opera offers guided tours that provide a general introduction to the theater, including its history, architecture, and various activities.
Guided tours of the Palais Garnier are managed exclusively by our partner company, MANATOUR.

The self-guided Palais Garnier admission ticket includes access to the public areas, including: The Subscribers' Rotunda (Rotonde des Abonnés) and the Pythia Basin (Bassin de la Pythie), the Grand Staircase, the Avant-Foyer and the Grand Foyer, the Moon and Sun Salons, the Glacier Rotunda and the Opera Library-Museum.
Some of these areas may be inaccessible for technical or artistic reasons. This is particularly true of the auditorium, which is regularly and unpredictably closed during rehearsals. Such closures do not entitle visitors to a refund or ticket exchange.

Yes. Nearly 200 performances take place each year at the Palais Garnier. Rehearsals can therefore lead to frequent and unpredictable closures of the auditorium. No ticket guarantees access.

Yes. Temporary exhibitions are included with your admission ticket at no additional cost.
All visitors enter the Palais Garnier through the ticket office entrance located at the corner of Rue Auber and Rue Scribe (behind the statue of Charles Garnier).
An accessible elevator is available for visitors with reduced mobility to reach the visitor areas. However, the temporary exhibition space and the gift shop are not accessible to visitors with reduced mobility.
Visitors with reduced mobility must exit through the ticket office entrance.
Multimedia tablets with audio description and French Sign Language (LSF) are available.
The visit usually lasts between 1 and 1.5 hours.
You have a 30-minute window from the time indicated on your ticket to begin your visit.
Enhanced security screening may delay access to the Palais Garnier.
If you arrive outside your allocated time slot, you will lose your reserved access and entry cannot be guaranteed.
No, any exit is considered final.
Am I allowed to take photographs?
As the Palais Garnier is a visitor site, the use of public areas solely for photo shoots is prohibited. Only photos for private use are allowed.
It is forbidden to change clothes in the visit areas or restrooms, to use tripods or selfie sticks, and to obstruct the movement of other visitors.
Photographing or filming staff of the Opéra national de Paris and its service providers is not permitted.

A visitor guide and a children's activity trail can be downloaded free of charge before your visit.
The visitor guide is also available throughout the visitor route via QR codes.
There are no cloakrooms or lockers available.
For security reasons, the following items are not permitted inside the building:
-Luggage and travel bags
-Motorized and non-motorized personal mobility devices (scooters, folding bicycles, electric unicycles, etc.)
-Glass bottles
-Bicycle locks
-Any blunt or potentially dangerous objects
Strollers are permitted.

Visitors may also consult the list of luggage storage facilities available in Paris.
The BeauCoCo restaurant is open daily from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. (last dinner order at 11:00 p.m.).
The restaurant can only be accessed from outside the Palais Garnier via the entrance on Place Jacques Rouché, at the corner of Rue Halévy and Rue Gluck.
