Ticket orders placed by individual customers, up to a maximum of 9 seats per performance, are issued subject to seat availability and, where applicable, within the limits of the allocations assigned to a particular special offer.

Subscriptions to the RING Festival open on 12 November 2025 at 12 noon (or from 5 November 2025 at 2:30 pm for individual subscribers to the 2025/2026 season) and, subject to availability, run until the first performance of Cycle 2 on Sunday 15 November 2026 at 2 pm, as follows:

• operadeparis.fr. If the customer does not receive confirmation or details of their order by email within one day, they should contact the Paris Opera at resa.internet@operadeparis.fr;
• box office of the Bastille Opera (120 rue de Lyon, 75012 Paris);
• land mail (except for the Youth subscription), accompanied by payment, using only the subscription forms available online. Any form that is incomplete, incorrectly filled in, unsigned or not accompanied by payment will not be processed. Subscription forms must be sent to Service Abonnements, Opéra national de Paris, 120 rue de Lyon, 75576 Paris cedex 12 FRA NCE.

Discounts and special offers available under certain RING Festival 2026 subscription packages are specific to each formula and may be limited to an allocation of seats for selected dates and categories. Alternatively, their availability may be contingent upon purchasing a minimum number of performances.

Tickets go on sale from 12 November 2026 at 12 noon (from 5 November for individual subscribers to the 2025/2026 season). The Paris Opera reserves the right to change this opening date and time without prior notice.

The Paris Opera does not guarantee the availability of all or any dates or seating categories across all the sales channels.
Sales may be limited, at the discretion of the Paris Opera, in terms of the number of tickets per performance or per show, per person and/or per category.

Subscription to the RING Festival 2026 requires the simultaneous purchase of four tickets, covering the four performances of either Cycle 1 (6, 7, 10 and 13 November 2026) or Cycle 2 (15, 17, 19 and 22 November 2026). The composition of each cycle is fixed: it is not possible to change dates or to combine performances from different cycles.

Each RING Festival 2026 ticket includes:

• Admission to a performance on the date and at the time indicated on the ticket;
• Refreshments during one interval at each performance of Die Walküre, Siegfried, and Götterdämmerung (Das Rheingold has no interval).

A RING Festival 2026 subscription also grants access to exclusive benefits reserved for Festival-goers, namely:

• Free access, subject to availability, to events organised by the Paris Opera as part of the RING Festival 2026 (more information here);
• Free access to the Paris Opera Play streaming platform for six months. The offer is valid from 6 November 2026 (a specific code will be emailed to festival-goers no later than 6 November 2026);
• All the advantages made available to individual subscribers: priority booking for 2026/2027 season subscriptions, promotional offers throughout the year, discounts at the Paris Opera shops, etc. (full list of benefits available on operadeparis.fr).

Bookings can be made as follows:

• operadeparis.fr. If the customer does not receive confirmation or details of their order by email within one day, they should contact the Paris Opera at resa.internet@operadeparis.fr;
• telephone on 33 (0)8 92 89 90 90 (€0.35 incl. VAT/min from a landline, excluding any additional charges depending on the operator) or at +33 (0)1 71 25 24 23 if outside France, Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 7 pm (except public holidays). These times are subject to change depending on circumstances;
• Bastille Opera box office (120 rue de Lyon, 75012 Paris) from Tuesday to Saturday (except public holidays) from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm, and one hour before the start of the performance, including Sundays, Mondays and public holidays. These opening times are subject to change. Up-to-date information is available on operadeparis.fr/en under “Useful Information”. Any box office ticket sales taking place during the 60 minutes preceding a performance will prioritize the sale of any tickets remaining for that performance. Ticket sales close 10 minutes before the scheduled start time, since this is the minimum time required to take a seat inside the auditoriums.

Tickets for the RING Festival 2026 are eligible for resale and purchase as of 13 November 2025. Purchasing a ticket for one single Festival performances does not grant access to the benefits granted by a RING Festival 2026 subscription. All ticket sales and purchases must comply with the general terms and conditions available on operadeparis.fr/en.

Booking of seats for customers with disabilities must be made at least two weeks before the first performance of the chosen cycle, exclusively through the Accessibility Service, either by phone on +33 (0)1 40 01 18 50 (Monday to Friday, 9 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm) or by email at accessibilite@operadeparis.fr.

Upon presentation of proof (level of disability of at least 80%), a 50% discount will be applied for both the customer with a disability and for one companion. This discount cannot be combined with any other offers from the Paris Opera.

Front-of-house staff are not required to assist customers with disabilities in moving around the theatres.

The Paris Opera offers cancellation insurance, which must be taken out at the same time as subscribing to the RING Festival 2026 covered by the policy. This insurance can be purchased via operadeparis.fr/en, by land mail, by phone, or at the box offices.

If the insurance is taken out at the box office, a copy of the general terms and conditions of coverage will be handed over in person. A 30-day cooling-down period applies, except in the case of insurance policies taken out at the box office. Cancellation insurance is linked to one or more performance tickets and applies to the entire order. Full details of the cancellation insurance terms are available on operadeparis.fr/en and at the box office.

In accordance with Article L 221-28 of the French Consumer Code, performance tickets purchased online are not eligible to a cooling-down period. The Paris Opera reserves the right to modify seat categories and ticket prices at any time. However, such changes will not affect the price of orders that have already been paid.

The Paris Opera will decline any payment method not specified in these General Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Payments from companies are not accepted.

Subscriptions to the RING Festival 2026 may be made in full or as instalments.

Full payment can be made by:

• Credit card or American Express;
• Cheque made payable to the Paris Opera (land mail or box offices). Foreign cheques in euros must be payable in France. The amount must be clearly indicated, and the cheque must be made out to the Opéra national de Paris. The Paris Opera cannot be held liable for any issues in relating to cheques not bearing this information;
• Cash (Bastille Opera box office only);
• Gift voucher(s), credit voucher(s), or account credit;
• Monthly bank direct debits in two instalments. Instalment payment (by land mail or at the box office) must be made via monthly direct debits (SEPA countries only) and will incur an additional €10 per order for administrative fees (excluding postage). Direct debit requests must be submitted no later than 30 May 2026. A schedule of monthly direct debits will then be prepared and communicated to the client. In the event of any changes to bank details, the direct debit documents (signed mandate and bank account details) must reach the Paris Opera three weeks before the debit date.

For subscriptions to the RING Festival 2026 received by land mail, seats in the next higher or lower category may be offered if no seats are available in the category initially requested by the customer, subject to their prior agreement.

For payments made by credit card or direct debit, the amount to be charged will be automatically adjusted.

Certain tickets (persons with disabilities, last-minute tickets, etc.) are sold at a reduced rate; the Paris Opera reserves the right to request, at any time, proof of entitlement to the corresponding reduced rate.

Upon receiving their tickets, customers are asked to check that they correspond correctly to their order.

Depending on the format chosen, tickets are:

• downloadable by the customer via their personal account;
• issued at the Paris Opera box office when the subscription is purchased there;
• sent by land mail in hard-copy format when the subscription is made by correspondence or online. Tickets are dispatched (at the latest two weeks before the date of the first performance) by standard post, with a flat fee of €4 per order charged for administrative costs. Registered delivery (available in mainland France only) will be charged at €8 per order (including administrative costs).

For subscriptions paid by direct debit, tickets are available in the customer’s personal account or sent by post according to the payment schedule. Tickets so purchased cannot be collected directly from the box office.

Any change of postal and/or email address must be notified. Customers can update their details themselves in their personal account on operadeparis.fr, by email to mescoordonnees@operadeparis.fr, or in writing to the following address: Service Spectateurs, Opéra national de Paris, 120 rue de Lyon, 75576 Paris cedex 12 FRANCE.

Any ticket that could not be delivered due to an unreported change of address will not entitle the customer to a refund. If tickets have not been received three working days before the date of the performance, the customer should contact the Paris Opera at resa.internet@operadeparis.fr or at +33 (0)8 92 89 90 90 (€0.35 incl. VAT/min from a landline, excluding any additional charges depending on the operator) or at +33 (0)1 71 25 24 23 if outside France, Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 7 pm (except public holidays). The Paris Opera cannot be held responsible for the loss, theft or late delivery of tickets.

No duplicate of a hard-copy ticket will be issued, except with the specific agreement of the Paris Opera, and then only for allocated seats booked under a named reservation. In such cases, duplicates are be collected one hour before the performance at the protocol counter in the Bastille Opera foyer. Requests for duplicates must be made no later than three working days before the performance at resa.internet@operadeparis.fr or at +33 (0)8 92 89 90 90 (€0.35 incl. VAT/min from a landline, excluding any additional charges depending on the operator) or at +33 (0)1 71 25 24 23 if outside France, Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 7 pm (except public holidays).

A duplicate invalidates and replaces the original ticket.

The Paris Opera reserves the right to modify performances, including presenting a concert version if all the necessary prerequisites to stage the performance as originally planned are not met. The Paris Opera also reserves the right to change the casting.

In the event of a performance being cancelled by the Paris Opera, the face value of the ticket purchased from the Opera will be refunded within a maximum of four weeks to the person or organisation that paid for the order, excluding any other form of compensation or indemnity. These conditions do not apply in cases of force majeure, which expressly include the requisition or closure of the Opera imposed by any public authority for reasons of public order. If a performance is interrupted at any time more than halfway through the performance, the ticket will not be refunded.

In the event of multiple printouts of an e-ticket, the first ticket used upon entering the auditorium will invalidate any subsequent copies.

Tickets cannot be exchanged, refunded (except where cancellation insurance has been taken out and in cases covered by said insurance) nor resold (other than via the official ticket exchange platform set up by the Paris Opera, the general terms and conditions of which are available on operadeparis.fr).

Festival-goers can avail of a free service to exchange all their tickets for the other cycle, subject to availability. Exchanges can be made by telephone with the Subscribers Service, no later than 48 working hours before 6 November 2026. It is not permitted to change a date from one cycle for a date in the other cycle. If the new seats chosen are at a higher price, the customer requesting the change must pay the difference. If the new seats are at a lower price, a voucher for the difference will be issued by the Paris Opera.

Any holder of a ticket purchased from the Paris Opera is strictly prohibited, under penalty of possible legal action, from using it for promotional or commercial purposes. Unless specifically authorised by the Paris Opera, the sale, resale or exchange of tickets is strictly forbidden and subject to the penalties set out in the French Penal Code (law of 27 June 1919). Accordingly, the Paris Opera reserves the right to refuse admission to any performance to anyone holding a ticket purchased from any organisation other than the Paris Opera or a duly authorised third party.

Any customer failing to comply with instructions given by Opera staff or behaving rudely towards others (staff or customers) will be asked to leave the premises.

Performance tickets do not grant access to any backstage or public areas of the theatres open as part of guided tours.

Tickets sold at special rates (young people or customers in special categories) are issued in the name of the ticket holder. Entry may be refused if the corresponding proof is not presented. Admission is only permitted on presentation of a valid performance ticket, as checked when entering the auditorium. Each ticket entitles the holder to one seat only. The seat number given on the ticket must be respected.

Children under the age of five are not permitted in the auditoriums. Children up to the age of fourteen must be seated next to a supervising adult.

For security reasons, screening is carried out before entering each theatre. It is recommended that customers arrive 45 minutes before the start of the performance which always starts punctually as given on the ticket and the website. The auditorium doors are closed once the performance has started. Out of respect for the audience and the performers, late-comers will only be seated at the interval, if the performance includes one. For safety reasons, the venue’s main doors are closed 15 minutes after the performance begins.

Appropriate attire is required. Luggage and travel bags, as well as personal transport devices, motorised or not (except for those for persons with reduced mobility) are not permitted in the auditorium or cloakrooms. Batteries from electric bicycles must be deposited in a fireproof cabinet before entering the auditorium. A complete list of prohibited items in the theatres is available on operadeparis.fr.

The sale or distribution of any product or item within the Opera premises is prohibited. Photography, filming, or recording of all or part of the performance is not allowed. Likewise, food and drinks are not allowed inside the auditorium.

Customers can purchase vouchers to be exchanged for the four programmes of the performances indicated on the voucher. Vouchers can be purchased when subscribing to the RING Festival 2026 via operadeparis.fr, at the box offices, or by land mail. In the case of an online sale, a purchase is considered effective upon receipt of the confirmation email confirming completion of the transaction.

In accordance with Article L 221-18 of the French Consumer Code, a 14-day cooling-off applies to the remote purchase of vouchers for performance programmes.

Vouchers are dispatched under the same conditions as performance tickets.

Vouchers are non-refundable, even if the corresponding performance ticket is resold through the official ticket exchange platform.

A programme voucher for the RING 26/27 Festival can be redeemed from the first performance of the show in question, at the box offices and the Bastille Opera bookshop. Vouchers can also be redeemed from the programme vendors on the day of attendance. Voucher redemption is only guaranteed up to the final performance of the show concerned.

Loss or theft: no duplicate will be issued for lost or stolen vouchers.

Any claims or complaints must be submitted within 8 calendar days following the event in question and addressed to the Paris Opera by phone at +33 (0)1 73 60 25 25, by email at service.spectateurs@operadeparis.fr, or by land mail to: Service Spectateurs, Opéra national de Paris, 120 rue de Lyon, 75576 Paris cedex 12 FRANCE. The postmark will serve as proof of the date of submission.

Any customers benefiting from special conditions of access to performances at the Paris Opera, under agreements between the Opera and a partner (theatre, museum, transport provider, etc.), may not, under any circumstances, hold the Paris Opera responsible for any failure by that partner to fulfil its obligations.
