Synopsis
Musicians from the Paris Opera Orchestra and members of the Chorus offer a series of lunchtime concerts preceded by an introductory presentation.
Franz Schubert and Richard Strauss stand at opposite ends of the Romantic and Post-Romantic spectrum, forming the luminous pillars of the German lied tradition.
Between them, Felix Mendelssohn, Robert Schumann, Johannes Brahms, and Hugo Wolf (Gustav Mahler being absent from today’s program) emerge as its most distinguished heirs.
These six composers naturally make up the program of this concert, centered on the theme of love—an emotion the lied expresses with unmatched intimacy.

In both our venues, discounted tickets are sold at the box offices from 30 minutes before the show:
- €10 tickets for under-28s, unemployed people (with documentary proof less than 3 months old) and senior citizens over 65 with non-taxable income (proof of tax exemption for the current year required)
- €15 tickets for senior citizens over 65
