Troupe lyrique auditions - season 25/26

Registration for auditions for the Troupe lyrique de l'Opéra national de Paris for the 25/26 season is open until March 3, 2024.

Successful candidates will join the Troupe lyrique de l'Opéra national de Paris, which for the 23/24 season consisted of 7 singers, and will eventually be larger.

The project proved its worth during the 23/24 season, both artistically (30 roles performed by Troupe lyrique artists during the season), economically and ecologically. A second class was selected in March 2023 and will join the Troupe for the 24/25 season.

Initiated by Alexander Neef, the aim of this project is to strengthen the professional opera sector in France and foster a new understanding between artists and audiences. The Troupe lyrique de l'Opéra national de Paris will eventually be made up of some 15 opera artists who will perform some of the roles in the opera program. After an initial selection process based on an application and an audition, they are hired for one season, with the possibility of renewal for a second and third season. These young singers are cast in the season's productions at the Paris Opera, in both second and first roles, but also as understudies, as well as taking part in concerts.

Throughout the season, they are offered artistic support for their activities: their roles are prepared by Paris Opéra conductors.

- Condition d’admission : Avoir 18 ans au moins le 1^er août 2025.

- Calendrier des inscriptions : Les inscriptions sont ouvertes à l’adresse suivante jusqu'au 3 mars 2024. Le dossier de candidature devra notamment comprendre un curriculum vitae comportant le cursus de formation et le répertoire et deux liens audio ou vidéo présentant deux airs d’opéra.

- Calendrier des auditions : Les candidats retenus recevront une convocation. Les auditions se dérouleront à l’Opéra national de Paris et ne seront pas publiques.

Pré-sélection : les 15 et 16 avril 2024 en studio à l’Opéra Bastille. Finale : le 18 avril 2024 sur la scène de l’Opéra Bastille.

- Déroulement de l’audition de recrutement. Les candidats devront préparer un choix de quatre airs d’opéra dans trois langues différentes. L’une de ces trois langues devra être le français.
