On the Music Day, Marie Ducroux, cellist in residency at the Paris Opera Academy, is to be honored with the Musicians Award created by the Signature Foundation. The ceremony will take place at the Institut de France in the presence of Alexandre Tharaud (President of the Jury) and Natalia Logvinova Smalto (Founder of the Signature Foundation). On this occasion, the musicians in residency at the Paris Opera Academy are set to perform a concert.


The Signature Foundation - Institut de France has been supporting since 2019 the musicians in residency at the Paris Opera Academy. On the first edition it was American-Slovak pianist-chorus master Christopher Vazan who received the Award.

The jury is composed of major artistic figures including:

  • Jean-Michel Duhez, radio host and artistic advisor for Radio Classique.
  • Dany Laferrière, writer and member of the Académie française.
  • Myriam Mazouzi, the Paris Opera Academy Director.
  • Alexander Neef, Director of the Paris Opera.
  • Natalia Logvinova Smalto, Founder of the Signature Foundation.
  • Alexandre Tharaud, pianist and President of the jury.
  • Jean-Michel Wilmotte, architect and member of the Beaux-Arts Academy.
