On 9 September 2022, the Paris Opera launches its first podcast for children, A little mouse at the Opera, with the help of Jacadi, sponsor of the project.

Produced by the Kidsono studio, the podcast comprises 6 episodes of about ten minutes each, made for the 6-12 year olds. Available both in French and English, the podcast combines documentary and fiction.

Lucie, a little mouse who dreams of becoming a ballerina, sets out to explore the Palais Garnier.

Her adventures will lead her to Luca, an old rat who has always lived in the Opera house, and who’s well determined to kick her out!

All the sounds in the podcast were taken at the Palais Garnier: from dance rehearsals to the making of costumes and stage sets, to the sound of audiences clapping… It’s the real world of the Paris Opera that will be shared with our young public, who will be able to discover this emblematic place of Paris before walking through its doors.

The first episode of the podcast will be released on Friday 9 September and will be available for free on all audio streaming platforms (Spotify, Deezer, Apple podcast, Youtube...). New episodes will be released every week.

This new production is part of the Paris Opera’s overall strategy to develop podcasts in order to reach a wider and younger audience on these audio platforms.

For Jacadi, becoming a partner of the Paris Opera is part of a desire to promote French culture and heritage, values that are dear to the brand.
