Founded in 2000 by Gabriela Carrizo and Franck Chartier, Peeping Tom is a Belgian dance‑theatre company that deploys its actor‑dancers within worlds both fantastic and sombre in which extreme choreographic language, technical virtuosity and dramatic intensity meet.
A ballet that has since become a cult work in the Paris Opera repertoire, Signes embodies the links between painting, music and dance and extends them to the stage.
In Regency Paris, bourgeois society revels in luxury and easy pleasures. Carried away on this hedonistic whirlwind, Manon cannot resist temptation, bringing the faithful Des Grieux down with her in her fall.
Directed by Élisabeth Platel, the Paris Opera Ballet School celebrates this year Claude Bessy’s 90th birthday, and pays tribute to Rudolf Nureyev who died 30 years ago.
A great figure of dance all over the world, Claude Bessy was a Paris Opera "Danseuse Étoile" and the director of the Paris Opera School of Dance from 1973 to 2004.
