Biography
Born in Sweden, Tobias Westman obtained his degree in singing from the University of Stockholm. He made his debut on major Scandinavian stages in roles such as Gennaro in Donizetti's Lucrezia Borgia at the Malmö Opera, Albert in Die tote Stadt at the Wermland Opera in Karlstadt, Sweden. The following season, he sang Lieutenant Pinkerton in a concert version of Madame Butterfly by Puccini and then Gastone in La Traviata staged by Olivier Py at the Malmö Opera. After performing Tamino in The Magic Flute at the Opera Pa Skäret festival this summer, Tobias Westman joined the Paris Opera Academy in September 2019.
