Biography

Born in Donetsk, Ukraine, and of Georgian descent, Teona Todua began by studying piano in her hometown. After graduating in 2011, she joined the P. Tchaikovsky National Academy of Music in Kiev where she received her Bachelor’s degree in opera singing in 2017 and her Master’s degree in 2022.

She completes her training by participating in the program for young dramatic voices developed by the Dolora Zajick Institute and in the Opera Academy of Teatr Wielki - Polish National Opera. She won 3rd prize in the Grandi Voci competition in Instanbul in 2020 and 1st prize in the Wassy Slipak competition in Lviv.

Teona Todua joins the Academy of the National Opera of Paris in September 2022. She takes part in all the concerts and recitals of the Academy and makes her debut at the Palais Garnier in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro directed by Netia Jones.
