Born in Paris in 2000, Sue-Anne Lee began studying the violin at the age of 5, and in 2009 entered the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Paris. At the age of 14, she was awarded her Diplôme d’études musicales with highest honors, unanimously with the jury’s congratulations.
Two years later, she was admitted to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where she earned her master’s degree in 2022. From 2020 to 2022, she was a member of the Académie of the Paris National Opera, before joining the Orchestre de Paris’s Academy Studio for the 2022–2023 season. She has performed in major European concert halls (Philharmonie de Paris, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Cologne Philharmonie, Vienna Musikverein…) under the baton of conductors such as Gustavo Dudamel, Klaus Mäkelä, Semyon Bychkov, and Esa-Pekka Salonen.
In September 2023, she joined the Orchestre de l’Opéra National de Paris. She is a laureate of the Luigi Zanuccoli International Competition, a finalist for the Fondation Signature / Paris National Opera Musicians’ Prize, and is supported by the Tarazzi Fund and the Fondation Meyer.
