Pietro Di Bianco Bass baritone

Biography

Pietro Di Bianco studied piano at the Salerno Conservatory and honed his skills at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. He began his vocal training with Giuliana Valente and earned his diploma at the Aquila Conservatory with Anna Vandi. He continued his studies under the guidance of Alberto Zedda at the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro in 2010. Since 2013, he has been perfecting his technique with Raina Kabaivanska. He made his career debut in the roles of Don Alfonso (Così fan tutte) at the Auditorium of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome and Don Alvaro (Il Viaggio a Reims) at the Rossini Festival in Pesaro. In 2012, at the invitation of Eve Ruggieri, he made his French debut in the role of Leporello (Don Giovanni) at the Festival de Lacoste Pierre Cardin. He also performed in the same opera at the Antibes Festival in 2013. In October 2012, he joined the Paris Opera’s Atelier Lyrique and performed in concerts at the Bastille Amphithéâtre and the Palais Garnier with the Paris Opera Orchestra. He has performed the roles of Collatinus (The Rape of Lucretia) at the Athénée Théâtre Louis-Jouvet, Leporello (Don Giovanni) at both the MC93 in Bobigny and the Théâtre Firmin Gémier /La Piscine in Châtenay-Malabry, Thoas (Iphigénie en Tauride) at the Théâtre de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, and Don Alfonso (Così fan tutte) at the Maison des Arts in Créteil. Au cours de l’été 2014, il chante le role de Beaupertuis (Il Capello di paglia di Firenze by Nino Rota) au Theâtre Petruzzelli in Bari. In 2015, he sang the roles of Don Profondo in Il viaggio a Reims at the Teatro Coccia in Novara and Hidraot in Lully’s Armide at the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music. In November 2014, he won first prize at the “Paris Opera Awards” (Salle Gaveau).
