Co-founder, with Torge Møller, of the artistic duo fettFilm, Momme Hinrichs has played a major role in the development of video projection and the role of video artists in theaters since the early 2000s. He has also been active as a set designer since 2007, and as a director in his own right since 2014. He proposes a symbiosis between stage and projections, a fusion between music and stage action. His work has taken him to numerous European festivals, including Salzburg, Bayreuth and Bregenz, as well as the opera houses of Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Cologne, Hanover, Oslo, Paris, Toulouse, Nancy, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Vienna, Budapest, Barcelona and Florence, not to mention international theaters in North America, China, India and the Middle East.

Among the honors he has received is Ukraine's highest award for culture and the arts, the Shevchenko National Prize, which was awarded in 2021 for the production of The Flying Dutchman for the Donetsk-Donbass Opera, for which he designed the sets and projections with fettFilm.

He recently designed the sets for La Femme sans ombre at the Baden-Baden Festival, Anatevka at the Würzburg Theater, The Magic Flute at Munich's Gärtnerplatztheater, Candide at the Theater an der Wien and Jesus Christ Superstar at the Staatstheater Nürnberg.
