Jérémie Da Conceição Basson
Biography
Having practiced music from an early age, Jérémie Da Conceição discovered the bassoon at the age of eleven during a school presentation and quickly developed a passion for the instrument. In 2009, he was admitted to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon in the class of Julien Hardy, where he earned his National Professional Higher Diploma in Music in 2012, followed by a master’s degree in French bassoon in 2015.
From 2012 to 2014, he was a member of the French Youth Orchestra. He has since performed with ensembles such as the Orchestre de l’Opéra National de Paris, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Les Dissonances, Les Siècles, the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, the Orchestre National de France, and the Orchestre de l’Opéra National de Lyon, among others.
Alongside his artistic career, he earned a pedagogical master’s degree in bassoon in 2019 from the École Supérieure des Arts in Mons, Belgium. In 2023, he joined the Orchestre de l’Opéra National de Paris as principal contrabassoonist, also playing the bassoon.
