Born in Tirana, Albania, Gloria Gashi began playing the violin at the age of six. She soon took part in competitions for young talent, winning prizes every year. She went on to perfect her skills at the Tirana National Conservatory and the Academy of Arts, before becoming a member of the Albanian National Opera Orchestra at the age of twenty. In 2000, she was selected to play Beethoven's Violin Concerto with the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra, conducted by Georges Pelhivanian.
On this occasion, she met violinist Ami Flammer and decided to continue her studies with him at the Conservatoire de Gennevilliers in France. After several collaborations with the Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France, the Orchestre de l'Opéra national de paris and various French ensembles, in 2012 she joined the Orchestre de l'Opéra national de Paris as titular violinist.
