Preliminary rounds (First and Second Rounds): 28 and 30 September 2026

Audition for Extra Chorus Artists – Tenor 1

The Tenor 1 audition will take place on 15 October 2026 at the Opéra Bastille.

The Tenor 2 audition will take place on 16 October 2026 at the Opéra Bastille.

Audition for Extra Chorus Artists – Mezzo-Soprano and Alto 1

The mezzo-soprano audition will take place on September 23, 2026, at the Opéra Bastille

Applications close on September 13, 2026

Audition for Extra Chorus Artists – Soprano 1

The Soprano 1 audition will take place on October 2, 2026, at the Opéra Bastille

Applications close on September 20, 2026

PROGRAM

Applicants must be able to present:

1/ Two opera arias

One opera aria in French

One opera aria in a language of the candidate's choice

NB: Candidates are required to sing the opera arias without score.

2/ Rossini's Grande vocalise

Forte and piano, to be transposed on the ascending and descending chromatic scale

3/ A sight reading

NB: this sight-reading test, which is compulsory, is not eliminatory

TAKING OFFICE

Recruitment based on the availability of the successful candidate and the theater's schedule at the end of current contracts.
