After winning a first prize at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, Céline Nessi followed an advanced chamber music course there, completing her studies with András Adorjan and Aurèle Nicolet. She won the Bumafons Prize at the Rotterdam International Competition and the Kranichsteiner Music Prize in Darmstadt. With the Claude Debussy Wind Quintet, she won the Jury's Special Prize at the Tokyo International Competition and the Second Prize (in a non-prize year) at the ARD International Competition in Munich.
Céline Nessi is currently a soloist with the Orchestre de l'Opéra national de Paris and teaches at the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Boulogne-Billancourt and at the Pôle Supérieur. In addition to radio recordings, she has recorded for Harmonia Mundi, MFA and Erato. She has performed concertos by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Jacques Ibert and André Jolivet, as well as the entire chamber music repertoire. She has been artistic director of the Festival en Vallée d'Olt for thirty years.
