Born in Verona in 1987, Andrea Battistoni has been nominated, in 2013, First Guest Conductor at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, with a three-year contract including two operas and two symphonic productions each year. In 2015 he was appointed Principal Guest Conductor of Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra where he became, in Octobre 2016, the Chief Conductor.
In Tokyo, he conducted operas and symphonic works such as Nabucco, the Feste Romane and Turandot. Other highlights of his career include various performances for leading institutions such as Teatro alla Scala, Milan, Teatro Regio in Turin, Teatro Carlo Felice in Gênes, La Fenice in Venice, Deutsche Oper in Berlin, Stockholm Opera, Arena of Verona, Munich Bayerische Staatsoper.
He has also conducted prestigious orchestra such as the Filarmonica della Scala, the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Israel Philharmonic and many others. Future projects include collaboration with the Deutsche Oper in Berlin, Arena of Verona, Munich Bayerische Staatsoper, Teatro Regio in Turin, Dutch National Opera, Dresden Semperoper, Opera Australia and Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
