As part of the 2026 edition of “Tous à l’Opéra!”, the Paris Opera is opening the doors of the Palais Garnier and the Opéra Bastille for free tours and activities on Saturday 9 May.

Bookings open on Tuesday 5 May at 2:30 pm.

Self-guided tour of the Opéra Bastille

Free access, subject to capacity limits in accordance with safety regulations.

The Opéra Bastille, the most recent venue housing the Paris Opera and inaugurated in 1989, is opening its doors to you. Discover part of this vast 20^th-century theatre as you wander freely through its public spaces, specially animated for the occasion. You can also enjoy a stunning view over Paris from the top floor of the building.

Screenings about Opera professions and the Junior Ballet, concerts, and occasional guided visits will be offered free of charge throughout the day.

The music of Maurice Ravel has inspired many choreographers. Let yourself be carried away by the hypnotic power of Boléro, choreographed by Maurice Béjart and performed by the Paris Opera Ballet, followed by Ma mère l’Oye, a ballet by Martin Chaix created for the students of the Paris Opera Ballet School, which immerses us once again in childhood and the imaginative world of Perrault’s fairy tales.

Choral singing workshop at the Opéra Bastille

Saturday 9 May 2026 at 11 am and 2 pm

After a physical and vocal warm-up, you will work on polyphonic songs and canons from a variety of traditions with Luce Valois, voice teacher, and Ysabelle Arfi on the piano.

Participants who wish to do so will perform in the public areas of the Opéra Bastille at 3:30 pm.

Public barre at the Olivier Messiaen Amphitheatre

Take part in a classical dance class led by Andrey Klemm, ballet teacher with the Paris Opera Ballet, accompanied on piano by Naruko Tsujiun.

The 96 participating dancers may each be accompanied by 2 guests.
