A subscription consists of the simultaneous purchase of at least 10 seats in the same seating category and for the same performance, across at least 4 productions of the season. With a subscription, groups have access to seating categories Optima to 4 at the Palais Garnier, and categories Optima to 7 at the Opéra Bastille.

Subscription requests can be submitted starting 22^nd April 2025 (or from 5^th April 2025 for group subscribers from the 2024/2025 season) by the "relay" person (group manager or representative).

Requests are processed in the order they are received and subject to the availability of allocated seat blocks.

The request procedure is as follows:

• on operadeparis.fr after logging in as a group
• by e-mail with a detailed request (dates of performances, seating category and number of seats per performance) to groupes@operadeparis.fr.

Requests for subscriptions accepted by the Paris Opera will be formally confirmed by the Opera within a maximum of three weeks. If no response is received, the relay person is advised to contact the Groups Service on +33 1 40 01 80 54 (from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday) or via groupes@operadeparis.fr.

Only a written confirmation from the Groups Service, summarising the details of the subscription (performances, pricing category, number of seats, price per seat, and total amount), serves as proof of acceptance of the request submitted by the relay person. If there are no seats available in the category initially requested, confirmation may be given for seats in lower or higher categories.

Upon receipt of the order summary, it is recommended to verify the contents of the subscription. Any request for changes must be made immediately upon receipt of the summary by contacting groupes@operadeparis.fr.

Apart from the specific conditions relating to subscriptions, the purchase of tickets for a given performance in the same seating category opens on 27^th May 2025 (on 7^th October 2025 for the Démonstrations and the School of Dance Performance). Tourism professionals may submit their requests from 22^nd April 2025.

The Paris Opera reserves the right to change the opening dates of ticket sales without prior notice, and does not guarantee the availability of all performances, dates, or seating categories across all sales channels.

Groups have the option to book a given performance either by submitting a reservation request (option) or by making a confirmed purchase via operadeparis.fr.

Submitting an Option

Options are available for a minimum of 10 seats per performance and in the same category.

The request procedure is as follows:

• on operadeparis.fr after logging in as a group (except for tourism professionals),
• by e-mail with a detailed request (dates of performances, seating category and number of seats per performance) to groupes@operadeparis.fr.

Requests for options that are accepted by the Paris Opera will be formally confirmed by the Opera within a maximum of three weeks. Confirmed purchases

A confirmed purchase does not require a minimum number of seats.

Confirmed purchases can only be made via operadeparis.fr, after logging in as a group.

If the customer does not receive an order confirmation by email within one day, they are advised to contact the Paris Opera at groupes@operadeparis.fr.

If any members of a group are disabled, the relay person must inform the Groups Service before payment and at least two weeks prior to the performance in question.

Upon presentation of proof of disability (card indicating 80% disability or relevant documentation), a 50% discount will be applied to the full price for the disabled person and their companion. This discount cannot be combined with any other offer.

Please note that front-of-house staff are not required to assist disabled spectators move around the theatre.

The Paris Opera offers cancellation insurance, which must be taken out at the same time as the subscription or ticket purchase for the performance(s) intended to be covered. This insurance can be purchased via operadeparis.fr, by post, or by phone.

A 30-day cooling-off period applies. The cancellation insurance is linked to one or more performance tickets and applies to the entire order.

Prices are stated in euros and include VAT.

The Paris Opera reserves the right to change the price or seating category of performances at any time. However, such changes will not affect the price of bookings that have already been confirmed by the Paris Opera.

Any method of payment not provided for in these general terms and conditions will be refused by the Paris Opera. Corporate payments, including bank transfers made by companies, are not accepted.

Payments for subscription orders must be made to the Groups Service no later than by the date indicated on the order summary, or according to the payment schedule in the case of instalment payments.

Full payment may be made:

• by bank card or American Express,
• by bank cheque made payable to Opéra national de Paris. Cheques in euros issued from foreign banks must be payable in France. The amount must always be written on the cheque. The Paris Opera cannot be held responsible for any issues arising from the omission of this information by the customer,
• by bank transfer. The bank details of the Paris Opera are available upon request from the Groups Service. The spectator number and order reference number, as shown on the order summary, must be clearly indicated on the transfer order.

Instalment payments must be made exclusively by monthly direct debit (SEPA zone only) and are subject to a €10 administration fee per subscription package (excluding postage), which will be included in the first direct debit.

Direct debit requests must be submitted no later than 30 June 2025. The first direct debit will be taken on the 10^th of the month following the date on which the request is processed. Subsequent payments will be taken according to the schedule provided to the relay person.

If you are paying in instalments, you must enclose:

• the original SEPA direct debit mandate, completed and signed,
• IBAN (bank details).

Options must be paid for by the payment deadlines indicated on the option confirmation summary. If payment is not received by the deadline, the seats will be automatically released for resale. Once payment is received, the order is final and cannot be exchanged, cancelled, or modified.

Tickets must be paid for in a single payment:

• By bank card or American Express,
• By bank cheque made payable to Opéra national de Paris. Cheques in euros issued from foreign banks must be payable in France. The amount must always be written on the cheque. The Paris Opera cannot be held liable for any issues resulting from the omission of this information,
• By bank transfer. The bank details of the Paris Opera must be requested from the Groups Service. The spectator number and order reference number indicated on the order summary must be clearly indicated on the transfer order,
• By purchase order (public institutions only). This document must reach the Groups Service before the payment deadline.

Payments for confirmed purchases must be made in a single payment:

• by bank card or American Express,
• by gift voucher(s), credit note(s), or a credit account.

In accordance with Article L 221-28 of the French Consumer Code, there is no cooling-off period associated with the performance tickets purchased remotely.

Tickets cannot be collected directly from the Paris Opera, unless specifically agreed otherwise.

Upon receiving the tickets, customers are advised to check that they correspond to their order. Any queries regarding an order must be reported immediately by telephone to +33 1 40 01 80 54, and confirmed in writing to the Groups Service of the Paris Opera.

Tickets are made available to the relay person who then distributes them to the members of the group. Depending on the selected format, tickets are either:

• Printable or downloadable by the relay person via the group account, or
• Sent by post in hard copy format. In order to cover processing costs, postal deliveries (no later than two weeks before the date of the first performance) will incur a flat charge of €6 per dispatch within France and €8 per dispatch abroad. Registered post will incur a flat charge of €10 per dispatch within France and €15 per dispatch abroad.

For subscriptions paid by direct debit, tickets are available in the relay's group account, or they are sent by post according to the payment schedule.

In the event that a direct debit is rejected by the bank, Paris Opera will postpone sending the tickets until the following month, and a direct-debit request will be resubmitted to the bank.

Tickets are made available to the relay person who then distributes them to the members of the group. Depending on the selected format, tickets are either:

• Printable or downloadable by the relay person via the group account, or
• Sent by post in hard copy format. In order to cover processing costs, postal deliveries (no later than two weeks before the date of the first performance) will incur a flat charge of €6 per dispatch within France and €8 per dispatch abroad. Any change of postal address, email address, or relay person must be immediately reported to the Groups Service.

The Paris Opera cannot be held liable for non-delivery of an order resulting from a change that was not reported as outlined above. If tickets have not been received by the purchaser 8 days before the performance date, the group representative must contact the Groups Service on +33 1 40 01 80 54 (Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding public holidays) or by email at groupes@operadeparis.fr

The Paris Opera cannot be held responsible for lost, stolen or delayed tickets.

No duplicates of hard copy tickets will be issued, except with the specific agreement of the Paris Opera and only for allocated seat sales. In such cases, duplicates must be collected one hour before the performance at the “boîte à sels” (i.e., the reception desk located at the theatre entrance).

Duplicate ticket requests must be made via the relay person no later than three working days before the performance, by contacting the Groups Service.

The issuance of a duplicate ticket renders the original ticket invalid and replaces it.

The Paris Opera reserves the right to modify performances and in particular to offer a concert version if all the conditions to present the performance as originally planned cannot be met. The Paris Opera also reserves the right to change the cast.

In the event that a performance is cancelled by the Paris Opera, the face value of the ticket purchased from the Opera will be refunded within a maximum of four weeks to the individual or organisation that paid for the booking, to the exclusion of any other compensation or indemnity whatsoever.

These conditions do not apply in cases of force majeure, including but not limited to requisition or closure of the Opera by any public authority for any reason, or national strikes, which are expressly considered equivalent.

If a performance is interrupted after more than half its duration, the ticket will not be refunded.

In the case of multiple printouts of an e-ticket, only the first such e-ticket scanned at the entrance will be considered valid; any others presented later will be invalidated. Tickets cannot be returned, refunded (except where cancellation insurance has been purchased and in circumstances covered by said insurance) nor resold.

A ticket-exchange service is available to switch to another performance of the same production, subject to availability at a cost of €10 per ticket exchanged. Such requests must be made exclusively via the Groups Service, and no later than 5 working days before the performance.

Group subscribers can exchange their ticket(s) free of charge for another performance of the same show, subject to availability, no later than one month before the date of the original performance. Tickets may be also exchanged for another performance up to 5 working days before the date of the original performance, subject to a limit of 10 seats, for a fee of €10 per ticket.

If the new seats are more expensive, the difference in price will be payable by the subscriber. If the new seats are less expensive, a credit note for the difference will be issued by the Paris Opera.

Any holder of a ticket purchased under this offer is strictly prohibited —under penalty of potential legal action— from using it for promotional or commercial purposes. Unless specifically authorised by the Paris Opera, the sale, resale, or exchange of tickets is strictly forbidden, and subject to the penalties set out in the French Penal Code (Law of 27 June 1919). Accordingly, the Paris Opera reserves the right to refuse entry to any person holding a ticket purchased from any source other than the Paris Opera or an authorised third party.

Any person failing to comply with instructions given by Opera staff, or behaving in a discourteous or disrespectful manner towards staff or members of the public, will be asked to leave the premises.

Performance tickets cannot be used as entry passes for visiting the public areas of the theatres.

Entry to the auditorium is permitted only upon presentation of a valid ticket, as checked at access control. Each ticket is valid for one seat only, and the seat number given on the ticket must be respected.

Children under the age of five are not permitted in the auditorium, except for performances specifically intended for young audiences. Children up to the age of fourteen must be seated next to an accompanying adult.

For security reasons, screening checks are carried out before entering each theatre. It is advisable to arrive no later than 45 minutes before the start of the performance, which will always begin promptly at the time stated on the ticket and the website. Auditorium doors close as soon as the performance begins. Out of respect for the audience and performers, latecomers will only be admitted at an intermission, if the performance includes one. For safety reasons, the main theatre doors will be closed 15 minutes after the performance starts.

Proper attire is required. Luggage and travel bags, as well as personal mobility devices, whether motorised or not (excluding mobility aids for disabled persons), are not permitted in the auditorium or cloakrooms. Electric bicycle batteries must be placed in a fireproof locker before entering the auditorium. The full list of prohibited items in the theatres is available at operadeparis.fr.

It is forbidden to sell or distribute any product or article whatsoever inside the Opera House. It is forbidden to photograph, film or record all or part of the performance. It is forbidden to consume food or drink inside the auditorium.

The relay person can purchase one or more vouchers to be exchanged for the house programme specified on the voucher. Vouchers may be purchased at the time of booking the performance(s). For online purchases, the sale is considered final upon receipt of the e-mail confirming that the sale has been completed.

A 14-day cooling-off period applies to the remote purchase of programme vouchers, in accordance with Article L 221-18 of the French Consumer Code.

Such vouchers are issued under the same conditions as tickets.

Such vouchers are non-refundable.

The voucher entitles the holder to a single house programme of the performance in question. The voucher can be collected as from the first performance of the show concerned, at the box offices and stores of either theatre. Vouchers can also be redeemed from the programme vendors on the day of the performance. Voucher redemption is guaranteed only up to the final performance of the show concerned.

Loss or theft: In the event of loss or theft of the voucher, no duplicate will be issued.

Any complaints must be submitted in writing within 8 calendar days following the event that gave rise to the complaint, and must be sent to the Paris Opera by email (service.spectateurs@operadeparis.fr ), land mail (Service Spectateurs, Opéra national de Paris, 120 rue de Lyon, 75576 Paris Cedex 12 – France) or Telephone (+33 1 73 60 25 25). For deadline purposes, the postmark will serve as proof of dispatch date in the case of land mail.

In accordance with Article R 616-1 of the French Consumer Code, you are entitled to a free consumer mediation service if no resolution has been found, either online at mediationconso-ame.com , or by land mail (Médiation de la consommation AME: 197 boulevard Saint-Germain 75007 Paris – France).

Any spectator who availed of special conditions of access to any Paris Opera performances under agreements between the Paris Opera and a partner (theatre, museum, transport provider, etc.) shall not be entitled to hold the Paris Opera liable for any failure by said partner to fulfil its obligations.
