Synopsis
On the programme: two vocal quartets by Schumann: the Spanisches Liederspiel and the Spanische Liebes-Lieder, both freely inspired by popular Spanish songs. Bright landscapes, bolero rhythms and plucked strings switch between melancholia and romantic irony, interspersed with moments of great emotion where lovers abandon themselves to a pure vocal style where Schumann plays with voices and hearts.
