Adobe x Paris Opera partnership
In July 2022, Adobe and the Paris Opera announced a unique partnership based on a common mission: to make artistic creation, whether virtual or physical, accessible to as many people as possible. This partnership illustrates Adobe's commitment to their key value, "Creativity for All", and responds to the Opéra's desire to promote access to art for all, particularly young people.
On an artistic level, this collaboration will be embodied by the photo ambassador Little Shao, a professional dancer and photographer renowned for his work in the urban dance world, and by four dancers (Nine Seropian, Amélie Joannides, Grégory Dominiak and Florent Mélac) from the Paris Opera Ballet. Through his experience as a photographer and dancer, Little Shao contributes to creatively conveying the values of dance, as interpreted by the dancers of the Opera, through his photos. The essence of this partnership is captured in the manifesto video here, which marks the launch of a creative association punctuated by several highlights throughout the year, starting with a photo challenge from July 8th, open to all, regardless of their photographic skills.
"Is there anything more precious than creation in our artistic worlds? It is our role to encourage it, to bring it to life and to share it with as many people as possible. I am delighted that the association between the Paris Opera and Adobe is encouraging the younger generation to fully embrace this need to create", says Alexander Neef, General Director of the Paris Opera.
The photo challenge around the theme of "movement"
The #ladanseenphoto challenge was launched on 8th July, and allowed everyone to share their most beautiful photos around the theme of "movement". The selected photographers had the opportunity to spend an exclusive moment with Little Shao and the 4 dancers of the Opera Ballet, in the Palais Garnier, to deepen their techniques of shooting in movement. The winners continued the adventure with a Lightroom workshop at the Opéra Bastille to edit their photos and benefit from the advice of Adobe experts.
"This alliance with the Opéra National de Paris is fully in line with our corporate vision of making "creativity for all" accessible. More than just a message, everyone should be able to express their talent through photography, drawing, video or dance. So, like the Paris Opera, we call on new generations of artists to express themselves and share their vision of the world and of creativity," says Simon Morris, Adobe VP Marketing EMEA & APAC.
Adobe France's support to the Paris Opera's streaming platform
Adobe France's support as a "Digital creation Partner" will contribute to the financing and development of the Paris Opera's streaming platform, which was launched in December 2020 and whose functionalities will be enhanced in 2023. The ambition of "L'Opéra chez Soi" is to offer a new experience, with a greater wealth of content and new features. The public, whether amateurs, enthusiasts or those wishing to discover the world of ballet and the Paris Opera, will be able to access many live or catalogue performances and exclusive and unpublished content in France and around the world.
