Message to spectators of the 2020 Ring Festival

Dear spectator,

Some time ago, you have booked tickets for the Ring Festival and we are grateful for that.

The health crisis we are experiencing since March has strongly affected our activity and has not allowed us to organise rehearsals and design the sets for this long-awaited production.

Nevertheless, thanks to a full mobilisation of our teams and our Musical Direction, we are pleased to announce that the Ring Cycle will be given in a concert version, at the Opéra Bastille and then at the Radio France Auditorium.

On this occasion, Philippe Jordan will conduct the Paris Opera Orchestra and Chorus, as well as an exceptional cast led by Iain Paterson, Jonas Kaufmann, Andreas Schager, Jochen Schmeckenbecher, Ricarda Merbeth and Martina Serafin.

In view of the current situation, we are implementing specific arrangements to welcome you in the best and secured possible conditions. Therefore, we have to ensure that the limitation on the number of seats is taken into account, as well as the social distancing measures currently in effect. In this context, we would like to give you the possibility to confirm or not your attendance at this event. That is why, in order to facilitate the procedure, we will proceed to a refund of your tickets and give you priority booking for the Ring Festival.

As of 12 October at noon, you will be able to repurchase tickets for the four productions of Der Ring des Nibelungen, in the category and at the venue of your choice. Seating arrangements in the auditorium will automatically take into account distancing requirements, providing a free seat between each individual spectator or group of spectators. We recommend that you do not delay too long in making your new bookings, as the number of tickets is limited.

The 2020 Ring will be given:

• At the Opéra Bastille on 23, 24, 26 and 28 November* : the price of this cycle (from € 215 to € 1 000 according to the category) includes your four performance tickets, as well as a light snack and drinks offered before the performance (Das Rheingold) or during the intermissions, a Ring Festival programme and priority booking for a series of conferences organised mid-November at the Studio Bastille.
• At the Radio France Auditorium on 30 November, 1^st, 4 and 6 December*: the price (from € 220 to € 600) includes your four performance tickets.

We will proceed to a refund of your tickets before 12 October.
If you have paid your initial tickets exclusively by credit card, you need take no further action upon receipt of this message; you will be receiving an email indicating the status of your refund. In all other cases (cheque, multiple payments, vouchers, credits, exchanges...) please send a scan of the tickets, together with your IBAN and BIC code, by email to regierp@operadeparis.fr (if you do not have your ticket, you can send us your account or order number).
