Message to spectators of Les Contes d'Hoffmann on Thursday November 30 at the Opéra Bastille

As a result of a strike followed by some of the Opera's staff, the performance of the opera Les Contes d'Hoffmann on Thursday 30th November at 7:30 pm will be given in a concert version. The work will be performed by the soloists and chorus with costumes, as well as the orchestra, without staging and sets.

We wish to apologize to spectators of this performance.

In compensation for any inconvenience caused to those who attend this performance, the Paris Opera proposes a 50% partial refund.

For those not wishing to attend the performance, the Paris Opera proposes:

A ticket exchange* for another show of the 23/24 season, according to availability in the categories concerned. Ticket exchange will be possible from 30th November to 7th December 2023:

  • at the box office of the Opéra Bastille, Monday through Friday from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm, or the Palais Garnier, Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 6:30 pm;
  • by telephone on +33 1 73 60 23 23, Monday through Saturday from 9 am to 7 pm.

A refund:

  • purchases paid with a credit card (online, by phone or by mail, excluding purchases made at the box office or with several payment methods and tickets that have been exchanged) will automatically be refunded within three weeks on the bank account used for the payment;
  • in the event that spectators cannot be automatically reimbursed by re-crediting their payment cards, the amount will be transferred to their credit balance available in their personal space on operadeparis.fr. In order to be reimbursed, spectators must enter their bank details in their personal space or send them by email to REGIERP@operadeparis.fr (IBAN and BIC code or bank card number with expiry date) or by post below:

There will be no refunds of tickets at the box office.

SPECIFIC EXCEPTIONS

  • AROP ticket-holders should contact AROP directly on +33 1 58 18 35 35.
  • Spectators who have bought their tickets via an Agency (ticketing agencies, Internet agencies, tour operator…) are reimbursed directly by the Agency.
  • In the case of a reimbursement request, works committee, association and group leaders should send bank details to the Services Groupes at the Opera, 8 rue Scribe, 75009 Paris (info on 01 40 01 80 54 from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm or groupes@operadeparis.fr). If you wish to exchange your tickets, please contact the Services Groupes.
  • Spectators who have purchased their ticket via an agency (FNAC, ticket agencies) will be reimbursed directly by the agency.
  • Spectators who have bought their tickets via a Tick'n Box should contact Tick'n Box's customer service by email or by telephone at +33 9 70 25 22 42 (price of a local call) Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 6 pm (except public holidays).
  • Spectators invited by a Paris Opera partner should contact the partner directly.
