Tsuey-Ying Taï Percussion

Biography
Born in Taiwan, Tsuey-Ying Tai studied with Lien Ya-Wen and Ju Tzong-Ching, then at the National University of the Arts in Taipei. She continued her studies in France at the Conservatoire de Versailles with Sylvio Gualda, then at the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Paris with Éric Sammut and Frédéric Macarez. She was awarded a scholarship from the Yamaha Europe Foundation and won first prize at the 2002 World Marimba Competition in Stuttgart. She is also a Yamaha Artist. In 2003, she joined the National Symphony Orchestra of Taiwan as second timpanist and percussionist. Since 2004, she has been a member of the Orchestre de l'Opéra national de Paris.
