Biography

Slávka Zámečníková graduated from the Bratislava Conservatory and obtained her Master degree at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin. Holding a scholarship of the Liz Mohn Foundation during the seasons 2017-18 and 2018-19, she was a member of the International Opera Studio of Staatsoper Berlin, where she performed the First Lady (The Magic Flute), Miss Jessel (Turn of the Screw), Falke (Die Frau ohne Schatten), and Flora (La Traviata).

The highlights of her career include Norina (Don Pasquale) and Poppea (L’incoronazione di Poppea) at Wiener Staatsoper, the Countess (Le Nozze di Figaro) in Wiesbaden, Nannetta (Falstaff) and Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) at Staatsoper Unter den Linden and in Vienna, Sophie (Werther) at the Prague National Theatre. She made her role debut as Ilia (Idoménée) at the Wiesbaden International May Festival. Her operatic repertoire also includes the roles of Pamina (The Magic Flute), Adina (L’elisir d’amore).

In concert, her engagements led her to the Berlin Konzerthaus, the Czech Philharmonic, the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, and she performed Mozart’s Requiem at the Galina Wischnewskaja Opera festival in Sotschi. Her repertoire also includes Mahler’s Symphony N°4, Liszt’s Hungarian Coronation Mass, Mozart’s masses and Orff’s Carmina Burana.

In the 2022-23 season, Slávka Zámecniková has performed at the Wiener Staatsoper as Donna Anna, Micaëla (Carmen) and Marzelline (Fidelio). At the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin, she has sung Poppea and Dircé (Médée). In concert, she can be heard in Haydn’s Creation with the Orchestre national de France.
