Biography

Seray Pinar graduated from the Department of Lyric Art at Hacettepe University in Ankara in 2019. The following year, she perfected her skills in Italy before returning to Turkey to continue her training with contralto Ferda Yetişer. From 2021, she performed several times in concert at the Ankara National Opera where she sang, among others, the role of Lola from Cavalleria rusticana. She won the 1st prize for students in opera singing in 2018 at the İzmir National Young Solists competition and the 1st prize in the professional edition of the same competition in 2022.

Seray Pinar joins the Académie de l’Opéra national de Paris in September 2022. She takes part in all of the Académie’s concerts and recitals at the Olivier Messiaen Amphitheatre and at the Palais Garnier and participates in an exchange with the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program of the Metropolitan Opera of New-York. She performed the role of Lucilla in Rossini’s La Scala di seta in the spring of 2023 with the artists of the Académie under the direction of Elizabeth Askren and in a production by Pascal Neyron at the Athénée Théâtre Louis-Jouvet.
