Rahi Rezvani

Biography
Rahi Rezvani was born and raised in Tehran, Iran. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a specialization in graphic design from the University of Art in Tehran, and then a Master’s degree in photography from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague in 2008. Rezvani began working with the Nederlands Dans Theater in 2006 and has been the company’s official photographer ever since.
He has collaborated with artist Marina Abramović and Atelier Versace, and has photographed various artists and designers such as Donatella Versace for 1843 and GQ Magazine UK, Gucci designer Alessandro Michele, Ricardo Tisci, and Willem Dafoe. In 2018, he created the images and portraits for Pelléas et Mélisande by Damien Jalet and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.
The production featured sets by Abramović and costumes by Iris van Herpen. Rahi Rezvani won the Best Art Vinyl award in 2018 for Editors’ album Violence.
