Piotr Kumon Baritone

Biography

Whilst pursuing his studies, he took part in master classes given by Andrzej Dobber, Anita Garanča, Eva Blahova, Landry Rosemarien and worked on the roles of the Count in Marriage of Figaro, Malatesta in Don Pasquale and Stanislav in Verbum Nobile by Stanislaw Moniuszko. From 2009 until 2012 he was a member of the Kraków Chamber Opera and in November 2012 he sang the role of Guglielmo in Così fan tutte with the Gorzów Philharmonic Orchestra in Poland. With the Atelier Lyrique he performed in concert at the Bastille Amphitheatre and at the Palais Garnier with the Orchestra of the Paris Opera under the direction of Manlio Benzi. He then undertook the roles of Buonafede in Il Mondo della Luna by Haydn at the MC93 in Bobigny, Tarquinius in Britten’s The Rape of Lucrece at the Athenée Theatre Louis-Jouvet, the title role in Don Giovanni at the Theatre Firmin Gémier/La Piscine in Châtenay-Malabry and the role of the Monk in the premier production of Maudits les Innocents at the Bastille Amphitheatre. He then sang Oreste in Iphigénie en Tauride at the Theatre in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines et Guglielmo in Così fan tutte at the Maison des Arts in Créteil.

He became a member of ENOA (European Network of Opera Academies) in residence at the Polish National Opera

2013
He completed his studies at the Kraków Academy of Music. In September of the same year he joined the Atelier Lyrique of the Paris Opera.
