Born into a family of musicians, Pauline Chacon began her musical studies at the Lavelanet Music School in the piano and tenor tuba classes, before continuing her training at the Toulouse Conservatory. She entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon in 2011 in the euphonium class of Stéphane Labeyrie and graduated in May 2014.
Attracted by the horn and its vast repertoire, she began studying this instrument at the Conservatoire d'Annecy in the class of Pierre Véricel and passed the entrance exam to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon in April 2016 in the class of David Guerrier, where she benefited from the advice of Benoît de Barsony, Antoine Dreyfuss, Hugues Viallon and Jean Pincemin. She graduated in May 2018. Pauline Chacon will join the Orchestre de l'Opéra national de Paris as fourth horn in October 2024.
