Olivia Boen Soprano

Biography

Olivia Boen trained at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she was a finalist for the Gold Medal in 2021. She also studied at the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, the Verbier Festival, the Internationale Meistersinger Akademie, and the Ravinia Steans Music Institute.

In recent seasons, she made her European debut at the Verbier Festival in the roles of the Falcon Voice (Die Frau ohne Schatten) and the First Lady (The Magic Flute), and has performed roles including Musetta (La Bohème), Xenia (Boris Godunov), Inès (Il Trovatore), Giannetta (L’Elisir d’amore), Servilla (La Clemenza di Tito), Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel), Pamina (The Magic Flute), and Sifare (Mitridate, re di Ponto) at the Staatsoper Hamburg; the title role in Le Paradis et la Péri at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg; and Annina (La Traviata) with Le Cercle de l’Harmonie. In the 2025–2026 season, she will perform roles including Mimi (La Bohème) at Opera North and Gretel at the Cologne Opera.
