Biography

Born in Buenos Aires, Nahuel Di Pierro studied at the Teatro Colón Art Institute. He was then a member of the Paris Opera Studio and the Young Singer Project of the Salzburg Festival. 

He has performed many roles by Mozart such as Masetto, Leporello (Don Giovanni), Sarastro (The Magic Flute), The Voice (Idomeneo), Figaro (Le Nozze di Figaro), Guglielmo (Così fan tutte) and Osmin (Il Seraglio).

His repertoire also includes The Governor (Count Ory), Lord Sidney (Il viaggio a Reims), Assur (Semiramis), Selim (The Turk in Italy), Walter and Melchthal (Guillaume Tell), Basilio (The Barber of Seville), Haly and Mustafà (L'italiana in Algeri), Lorenzo (I Capuleti e i Montecchi), Alessio (La sonnambula), Léandre (L'Amour des trois oranges), Créon (Médée), Augure and Pluto (L'Orfeo by Rossi), Ferrando (Il Trovatore) and Colline (La Bohème). 

His repertoire also includes The Messiah, St John Passion, Dvořák's Stabat Mater, Coronation Mass and Mass in C, Mozart's Requiem, Berlioz's L'Enfance du Christ, Rossini's Stabat Mater and Schubert's Mass in E flat major

Recent and future projects include Selim (The Turk in Italy) at Glyndebourne and the Opernhaus Zurich, his Bolshoi debut as Leporello (Don Giovanni), Cithéron (Platée) at the Paris Opera, The Governor (Count Ory) in Monte Carlo, Claudio (Agrippina) in Drottningholm, Mozart's Requiem in Valencia, Mephistopheles (The Damnation of Faust) with the Orchestre National de France and the Vienna Symphonic Orchestra, Osmin (Il Seraglio) for the Zurich Opernhaus and the Grand Théâtre de Genève, Assur (Semiramis) for the Rossini Festival in Pesaro, Cadmus and Somnus (Semele), Selim (The Turk in Italy) at the Zurich Opernhaus and Ercole Amante at the Opéra Comique, Figaro (Le Nozze di Figaro) at the Houston Grand Opera and Gottardo (La gazza ladra) at the Theater an der Wien.
