Choreographer and Director of the CCN – Ballet de Lorraine since January 2025, Maud Le Pladec first trained at the National Choreographic Center of Montpellier before collaborating as a performer with figures such as Mathilde Monnier, Boris Charmatz, and Loïc Touzé. Awarded the “Revelation in Choreography” prize in 2010 for Professor, she has since developed a body of work marked by a dialogue between dance, contemporary music, and female voices, notably with Democracy, Hunted, and Silent Legacy (Festival d’Avignon, 2022).
Director of the National Choreographic Center of Orléans from 2017 to 2024, she has presented her work at institutions such as Montpellier Danse, the Festival d’Avignon, and Sadler’s Wells.
She served as Director of Dance for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games under the artistic direction of Thomas Jolly. In 2025, she created Veins of Water, a commission from Sadler’s Wells in London. In 2026, she presents Ad Vitam aeternam, a creation for the dancers of the CCN – Ballet de Lorraine as part of the Concerto Danzante program, as well as Lonely Club, conceived with singer Eddy de Pretto for an evening combining dance, fashion, and pop music. Maud Le Pladec is an Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters and a Knight of the National Order of Merit.
