The Belgian soprano Louise Foor studied singing at the Institut royal supérieur de musique et de pédagogie in Namur before continuing her training at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin. In 2020, she won First Prize at the Virgilijus Noreika International Competition in Vilnius.
In 2022, she made her debuts at several major institutions, including La Monnaie in Brussels, the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse, the Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg and the Grand Théâtre de Genève. She was a member of the Bayerische Staatsoper’s Opera Studio in Munich for the 2023–2024 season.
Recent engagements include her debut as Leïla (Les Pêcheurs de perles) in Bordeaux, her first appearance at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie, Lisette (La Rondine) in Metz, Frasquita (Carmen) in Brussels, Frank Martin’s Requiem in Geneva as part of Thierry Fischer’s “Odyssée Frank Martin” project, Woglinde (Das Rheingold) in Salzburg and at the Philharmonie de Berlin with Kirill Petrenko, and Brahms’s A German Requiem with Thierry Fischer.
She has also become a resident artist at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Waterloo. During the 2026–2027 season, she will perform, among other roles, Gerhilde (Die Walküre) in Bilbao.
