Belgian soprano Louise Foor studied singing at the Royal Higher Institute of Music and Pedagogy in Namur before continuing her training at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin. In 2020, she won first prize at the Virgilijus Noreika International Competition in Vilnius. In 2022, she made her debut at several institutions, including La Monnaie in Brussels, the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse, the Grand Théâtre in Luxembourg and the Grand Théâtre in Geneva.
She was a member of the Opera Studio of the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich for the 2023-2024 season. Her recent engagements include her debut in the role of Leïla (Les pêcheurs de perles) in Bordeaux, her first appearance at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège, Lisette (La Rondine) at the Opéra de Metz, Frasquita (Carmen) at La Monnaie in Brussels and Frank Martin's Requiem in Geneva as part of Thierry Fischer's ‘Odyssée Frank Martin’ project.
She has also become a resident artist at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Waterloo. During the 2025-2026 season, she will perform the role of Woglinde (Das Rheingold) at the Salzburg Festival.
