A former member of the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, Le Bu is the first-prize winner of Operalia Plácido Domingo 2024 and the winner of the Grand Finals of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition in 2022. During the 2025–2026 season, he makes several important debuts: at the Washington National Opera in the role of Figaro (Le Nozze di Figaro), at the Berlin Philharmonie and the Salzburg Easter Festival as Fasolt (Das Rheingold), and as the bass soloist in Mahler’s Symphony No. 8 under the direction of Kirill Petrenko.
He also performs the role of Gunther (Götterdämmerung) for the first time at the Atlanta Opera. He returns to the Metropolitan Opera in New York in the roles of the Speaker (Die Zauberflöte) and the Mandarin (Turandot), as well as to the Santa Fe Opera as the Bonze (Madama Butterfly) and the Speaker. He also appears in recital at the Sag Harbor Song Festival and at the Kennedy Center.
Debut at the Paris Opera.
