American baritone Jarrett Ott is enjoying an international career on the greatest opera venues in a various repertoire. He sang Harlekin (Ariadne auf Naxos, Richard Strauss), Maximilian (Candide, Leonard Bernstein), Masetto and Guglielmo (Don Giovanni and Così fan tutte, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart) with The Santa Fe Opera. He made his European debut at Deutsche Oper Berlin singing the role of the Angel in Andrea Scartazzini’s world premiere work Edward II, directed by Christof Loy. Between 2018 and 2020, he performed many roles at the Stuttgart Stattsoper, including Figaro (The Barber of Seville), Marcello (La Bohème), Dandini (La Cenerentola), Chou En-lai (Nixon in China, John Adams), Oreste (Iphigénie en Tauride), Valentin (Faust) and The Count in Le Nozze di Figaro. He was also invited by the Los Angeles Philharmonic to perform a concert with Esa-Pekka Salonen. The 2021-22 Season will mark Jarrett Ott’s debut at the Bayerische Stattsoper with La Cenerentola in the role of Dandini. He will also sing Aeneas (Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell) at the Lille Opera and the Luxembourg Grand Theatre conducted by Emmanuelle Haïm, as well as Sharpless (Madama Butterfly) at the Stuttgart Staatstheater. He is currently making his Paris Opera debut in Krzysztof Warlikowski’s production of Iphigénie en Tauride.
