A graduate of Rice University, Puerto Rican mezzo-soprano Isabel Signoret has performed with Wolf Trap Opera, the Aspen Music Festival, and the Miami Music Festival. She is a member of the ensemble of the Vienna State Opera for the fourth consecutive season, having previously completed a two-year residency in its Young Artists Programme. She recently performed Despina in Così fan tutte, Amando in Le Grand Macabre, the Page in Salome, and Muriel in Animal Farm at the Vienna State Opera.
On the concert platform, she has performed Mozart’s Requiem with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and made her debut in Handel’s Messiah with the North Carolina Symphony. A passionate advocate of Spanish and Latin American song, she has given recitals throughout Europe and the United States.
During the 2026–2027 season, she appears in Wagner’s Ring cycle at the Paris Opera and makes her Metropolitan Opera debut in New York as Javotte in Manon.
