Greet Van Poeck is a Belgian dramaturg, artistic coach, and rehearsal director, specializing in contemporary dance, performance, and interdisciplinary creation. She studied visual arts at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, but soon shifted her focus to the performing arts, bringing a keen sense of spatial composition and dramaturgical structure. From 2002 to 2017, she was the resident dramaturg at Ultima Vez, where she worked closely as the artistic right hand of choreographer Wim Vandekeybus on around thirty productions, projects, and films, developing a strong affinity for multidisciplinary performances.
Since 2017, she has worked as a freelance dramaturg with leading international choreographers such as Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Jan Martens, and Lisbeth Gruwez, as well as with contemporary music ensembles BL!NDMAN and I Solisti, and performance musicians like Mauro Pawlowski and Rudy Trouvé. She has served as dramaturg, rehearsal director, and assistant director for projects including Vlaemsch (Chez moi), Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui’s autobiographically inspired performance.
In addition to her work with established artists, Greet Van Poeck mentors emerging choreographers and interdisciplinary creators, offering artistic coaching and dramaturgical support to help refine their voice, concepts, and creative processes.
