Federica Guida Soprano

Biography

Federica Guida graduated in Opera Singing at the Alessandro Scarlatti Conservatory in Palermo with mention of honour. She is the winner of international competitions such as Aslico, the Tommasi Beppe Award, and the 2019 International Portofino Competition. She began her career with her house debut at Teatro Massimo in Palermo, at Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires and Vienna Staatsoper.

Her most important debuts include The Queen of the Night (The Magic Flute) at Vienna Staatsoper, where she was a member of the Ensemble during the 2019/20 season. She also portrayed Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi) in the movie directed by Damiano Michieletto, as well as Despina (Così fan tutte), Eternita / Furie (La Calisto) and La Charmeuse (Thaïs) at Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Musetta (La Bohème) at Teatro Massimo in Palermo and Gilda (Rigoletto) at Teatro Greco in Taormina. She was Oscar (Un ballo in maschera) at Teatro alla Scala, Leïla (Les Pêcheurs de perles) at Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. She also sang Musetta for the season opening of the 2023 Puccini Festival.

Recent and future engagements include Musetta at Teatro Regio in Turin, Euridice (Orfeo ed Euridice), Gilda and Leïla at Teatro Massimo in Palermo. She will also return to Teatro Regio in Turin to sing Adina (L’elisir d’amore) and will make her role debut as Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro) at the Opéra royal de Wallonie.
