Enkhbat Amartüvshin Baritone

Biography

Born in Mongolia, Enkhbat Amartüvshin began his singing career in Ulaanbaatar as a soloist at the State Academic Theater and completed his musical studies at the Mongolian State University of Arts and Culture. He won first prize in the Operalia Plácido Domingo 2012 competition in Beijing and performs on major international opera stages such as La Scala in Milan, the Vienna Staatsoper, the Royal Opera House in London, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, the Staatsoper Unter den Linden and the Deutsche Oper in Berlin, the Rome Opera and the Arena di Verona.

Last season, he appeared as Scarpia (Tosca) and Don Carlo di Vargas (La Force du destin) at La Scala in Milan under Riccardo Chailly, Don Carlo di Vargas at Barcelona's Gran Teatre del Liceu, Renato (Un bal masqué) at San Francisco Opera, Amonasro (Aida) in New York, Munich, Florence and London, Carlo Gérard (Andrea Chénier) in Lyon and Genoa and Giorgio Germont (La Traviata) in Berlin.

With the title role of Rigoletto, he also returned to Vienna, Hamburg and Trieste. In the 2025-2026 season, he sings the title role of Nabucco in Verona, Bonn and Vienna, Giorgio Germont in Verona, Berlin, London and New York, the title role of Rigoletto in Verona, San Francisco and Milan, Don Carlo (Ernani) in Verona and the title role of Macbeth in Munich.
