Ekaterina Gubanova studied at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow and the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. Her repertoire includes the roles of Santuzza (Cavalleria rusticana), Princess Eboli (Don Carlo), Amneris (Aida), Adalgisa (Norma), Lyubasha (The Tsar’s Bride), Mother Marie (Dialogues of the Carmelites), Fricka (Das Rheingold and Die Walküre), and Marguerite (La Damnation de Faust). In the 2025–2026 season, she will perform Ortrud (Lohengrin) in Rome, Brangäne (Tristan und Isolde) in Barcelona and New York, and Venus (Tannhäuser) in Vienna.
She also appears in concert, performing Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 with Josep Pons and the Orchestra and Choir of the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona at the Montserrat Basilica.
